bio

I’ve been painting and making art for more than 20 years. I have studied occasionally at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, but I am largely self-taught, having put together my own educational path held together by my dogged determination and love of art. I paint from direct experience, with everything depending on being alert and present in the moment. Ultimately, the work ends as a symbolic distillation of impulse, observation and response. Once I have said all that I want to say in a painting, I stop.

I currently show work at Morpeth Contemporary in Hopewell and have had my work included in exhibitions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Washington, and Connecticut. I live and work in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. My paintings have been selected for awards nine times to date.
